Transfer Service to Caye Caulker

The village of Caye Caulker is like the younger little brother to San Pedro Town at Ambergris Caye. Locals have coined "go slow" as the vibe on the island where the main means of transportation is walking barefoot or riding on bike. This makes it a popular destination for backpackers.

Fun Fact: Sunsets on the caye are spectacular since they can be seen in an undisturbed horizon behind the caye.

Getting to Caye Caulker is just as easy as getting to Ambergris Caye. There are two major water taxi companies that drop you off daily. The trip lasts about an hour from Belize City. Alternatively, one can take a trip on a jumper plane for roughly double the price and in a quarter of the time it takes on the water taxi.

Most travelers that choose Caye Caulker prefer a low-key vibe which is paired with low-priced accommodation compared big brother Ambergris. What the village lacks in variety when it comes accommodations and restaurants, it makes up for it in personality and local culture. Originally a fishing village, Caye Caulker's is home to many locals that have been living on the island most of their life.

Being close to the Belize Barrier Reef also means activities are in abundance. Common things to do include snorkeling at Hol Chan Marine Reserve or Caye Caulker Marine Reserve, going on a fishing trip, scuba diving, going manatee spotting, free diving, flying over the Great Blue Hole, or just going slow and taking in the island sun.
